Engineers have to work more and more interdisciplinary and they have to deal with approaches of different disciplines like psychology or economy. A lot of well based creative methodologies are existing helping to create an atmosphere to be enabled to develop innovative apporaches. Practical relevant applications are discussed and carried out in this course.

Within the Technical and Natural Sciences area, it is required data processing and data analysis, which, using Matlab, can fastly and conveniently made. In this course, the basics of numerical and symbolical calculation in MATLAB, as well as programing and grafic data visualisation will be explained. Through different examples and exercises, the participants will be able to gain deeper knowledge, and develop higher habilities in the use of
MATLAB.

There will be an general overview over important aspects of project management:
- Project objectives
- Project participants
- Project structure
- Project phases
- Tasks and problems in project management
- Methods of project planning and -monitoring
- Work breakdown structure (WBS)
- Expenditure and capacity planning
- Tools for planning and monitoring projects (diagrammes,
network techniques, critical path)
Various aspects will be applied in detail on sample projects in small groups.
